Universal Laptop Locks are security devices designed to protect laptops and other devices. They are compatible with all major laptop brands and support the three most popular slot types: K-Slot/T-Bar, Noble Wedge®, and Nano. These locks simplify deployment and management for IT managers by offering keyed or combination options, which help prevent issues related to misplaced keys or forgotten combinations.
How do the locking methods work?
Universal Laptop Locks offer several locking methods: Master Keyed, Keyed Alike, and Serialized Combination. The Master Keyed option allows IT managers to unlock all locks with a single key, while each user has a unique key for their own lock. Keyed Alike locks provide designated keyholders access to all locks without unique keys for individual users. The Serialized Combination locks come with a unique, non-resettable combination for each user, which IT managers can manage through a master list with QR codes.
What features enhance the durability and usability of these locks?
Universal Laptop Locks are built with a cut-resistant carbon steel cable and a durable diecast zinc-alloy lock body, rated for up to 350 lbs (158 kg) of pull force. They also feature a protective spacer to prevent damage to laptops and a thin profile design with a 90-degree elbow and 360-degree swivel, which helps eliminate strain on ultra-slim devices, making them both durable and user-friendly.
